1) To create a new thread, go to any unlocked location and press new topic. After you have finished typing it out, press the ‘send’ button. You can find a guide to titles for threads in the RP Rules. It is recommended that you type your posts somewhere else before copying and pasting it, as there is no auto-save function on Forumotion and if the page is closed or reloaded, you could lose your entire post.
2) To post a reply, first ensure that the thread you wish to reply to is one you are allowed to post in. Either at the top of the thread or the bottom, you will find the ‘post reply’ button. As stated previously, there is no autosave, and if you type your posts out directly, there is a possibility of losing it.
You
do not need to type a title for replies.
3) You don’t really need to use this. On the off chance that you do need to quote something, pressing it takes you to the
entire post in the text-editor box. Pressing ‘send’ will post the whole thing
as a reply, so be careful.
4) The edit button can only be seen on posts that you have made, or if you are an admin. It’s exactly what it says; it lets you edit your posts,
if the thread hasn’t been locked. You do
not need to post a reason for editing a post.
5) You can only see this option if two conditions are met. Firstly, you can only delete
your posts. Secondly, it has to be the
last (latest) post in any thread. You cannot delete a post, even if it is yours, if another post comes after it.
Admins are the exception to this, and can delete any post, whether theirs or not, and whether first, second, third, or whatever else.
